Probes - TOFD

Phoenix offers a full range of transducers designed specifically for TOFD applications. They are available with integral or demountable wedges and in standard ceramic or piezocomposite materials.

Magman

The Magman magnetic wheeled scanner was designed specifically for manual operation. Compact yet robust, it carries up to eight ultrasonic probes. The Magman is highly versatile and capable not only of scanning flat plate welds but also of the inspection of pipes down to 100mm outside diameter.

Mini Magman

Simple to operate with just one hand, the Mini Magman holds up to four probes and is useful for low-profile inspections of pipe and plate. This highly adaptable magnetic wheeled scanner comes in three versions, for weld inspection, pipe to elbow scans and for phased array use.

TOFD Caliper

This pocket-sized device allows for quick and easy TOFD scanning with a permanent record of the results. It is ideal for inspecting smaller areas or those which are difficult to access and has proved itself as a firm favourite with TOFD technicians.

Wren

A manual TOFD hand scanner, the Wren can be held in one hand for ease of scanning and is ideal for site use, particularly where minimum access is required. It is available in 4-inch or 8-inch versions and comes with spring-loaded, quick release wedges.

Beltman

This robust, adaptable scanner is suitable for pipes with a diameter of 200 to 1000mm. Beltman is low profile, requiring less than 50mm of space. No guide track is required and it has a quick adjust mounting belt. Automatic and subsea versions are available.

Spider

For rasta TOFD scans, the modified Spider scanner with probe carriage is ideal. If you require a systematic scan of a small area or component, the Spider provides the solution. This is a new development based on the highly successful automatic Spider.

db-UT

This rugged, portable ultrasonic inspection system is capable of simultaneous multi-channel TOFD corrosion mapping. It can interface to a wide range of single or multi-axis manipulators and provide video tracking. The db-UT comes complete with a comprehensive data collection suite and off-line analysis software.

db-AMP

An ultra low noise, wide bandwidth, fixed-gain pre-amplifier that is suitable for use with any ultrasonic transducers or systems. The db-AMP has a 40dB gain and is capable of driving long cable lengths.
